The three main components to SEO are:

On-Page SEO

On-Page SEO mainly consists of using keywords that people are searching for to write your content. You can’t just stuff a bunch of keywords onto your website though–You need to write appropriate content that is useful for your target demographic. Google is hard to trick these days!

Off-Page SEO

Off-Page SEO is mainly establishing backlinking, which is the process of having other websites link back to your own. This can be achieved by publishing useful content that is shared naturally (organically), or approaching other businesses and websites to add links to their websites.

Technical SEO

Technical SEO is the practice of auditing a website from a performance and structural standpoint, and using data to improve website speed and other metrics that search engines care about.

Ideally, you want your website to be the first to come up when someone searches for your type of business in google. For example, if you are a landscaper in Adelaide, you want your website to appear first in google results when someone searches ‘Adelaide landscapers’. You want your business to be seen FIRST, before all your other competitors. It’s no secret that people don’t want to put work in when finding a business or service. So you want to make yourself easy to find when searched. If people can’t find you, they can’t purchase or obtain your services. This is why it’s important to have good SEO for your website.
